Oblivion where to find black soul gem

Why not just make some? If you have completed the Mages Guild quests then you should have run across the cave "Dark Fissure" outside Cheydinhal right? If you haven't seen the cave yet don't know how that would be possible it is located directly south of Cheydinhal, next to the Red River directly next to the "R" in the word River.

Inside usually contains one black soul gem, since loot respawns after a certain period of time theoretically you could just keep running through it again and again until you find one. My personal favorites are Silorn, also a location of a Mages Guild quest, since it is so big and the Ayleid ruin of Wendelbek which is a big Necromancer lair north of the Panther River, east of Bravil.

You will find the ruin directly between the two northern offshoots of the Panther itself. Or, you could just make your own easiest. Right outside of the cavern "Dark Fissure" there should be an altar. Bring some Grand Soul Gems and place them in the alter, when the light shines down onto the altar cast some dispel magic at the altar and said Grand Soul Gems should be Black Soul Gems.

Remember to use directional Dispel magic, not cast on self. If you don't feel like making your own find some nice big Necromancer lairs and just keep running through them, the mages guild dungeons should work fine. User Info: wadevox. To 'find' a black soul gem without making one yourself, then go to any necromancer lair with an altar in front.

Within the lair you will find a worm thrall high level necromancer. Events Characters Factions Locations Concepts. Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account?
